چکیده

Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is one of the most important staple food crops, cultivated worldwide. The increased human population would require a major augment in the food supply in coming decades. Extension of sowing fields has only a little possibility; therefore, an increase the crop productivity has become a crucial necessity to assure the future food security [1,2]. Increased use of fertilizers and improved pest management has led to a significant increase in the gross wheat production [3], however, an expectation of increase in mean temperature by 1.8 to 5.8 °C as well frequent hot days increase owing to the global climate changes; moreover, Luzuriaga et al. [4], Hedhly et al. [5] and Huang et al. [6] have also reported the effect of elevated temperature, during grain filling, over the crop. Drought and high light conditions which are also known to damage crops [7-9] generally accompany elevated temperature Plants being pedunculate are unable to escape heat thus are required to modify their metabolism by utilizing valuable resources to avoid any damage, through acclimation. Otherwise, the programmed cell death is activated in specific cells or tissues leading to leaf abscission, terminating flowering and fruiting or death of the whole plant. During the period of 1980–2008the heat stress has resulted in reduced production of wheat and maize by 5.5% and 3.8% respectively [10]. Therefore, it becomes extremely important to understand the temperature sensitivity of crop plants.

HDAC Inhibitors and Heat Shock Proteins (Hsps)

Epigenetic alterations, including DNA acetylation, hypermethylation and hypomethylation, and the associated transcriptional changes of the affected genes are central to the evolution and progression of various human cancers, including pancreatic cancer. Cancer-associated epigenetic alterations are attractive therapeutic targets because such epigenetic alterations, unlike genetic changes, are po...

Cloning and In silico characterization of HSP90 gene from wheat (Triticum aestivum L)

HSP90 is an essential heat shock protein found in all eukaryotes studied so far. This protein is known for its role in facilitating maturation of signaling molecules, manage protein folding, cell cycle control, protein degradation and protein trafficking. In plants HSP90 is localized in cytosol, chloroplast, mitochondria and ER. In present investigation an amplicon of ~2.5 kb was amplified from...

Dendrosomal Nanocurcumin Induces Changes in the Expression Levels of Heat Shock Proteins in the AGS Cell Line: Cellular Tolerance or Smart Apoptosis Induction

Objectives:The expression levels of heat shock proteins (HSPs) are elevated in many cancers, and this overexpression is often associated with both a poor survival and a therapeutic outcome. Curcumin is an anti-cancer agent that also induces a heat shock response. HSPs confer resistance to curcumin-induced apoptosis in cancerous cells. The aim of the current study was to analyze variations in th...

Comparative in silico analyses of proteins involved in serum resistance as promising vaccine candidates against Acinetobacter baumannii

Introduction: Acinetobacter baumannii as a Gram-negative coccobacillus has become a major cause of hospital-acquired infections. The virulence factors involved in serum resistance are important targets in the development of an effective vaccine against this pathogen. Our aim in this project was in silico analyses of A. baumannii proteins involved in serum resistance which could potentially be u...

Experimental Mycology 9, 279-283. When uredospore germlings of the wheat stem rust fungus (Puccinia graminis tritici) were heat-shocked to induce differentiation, changes in the pattern of proteins synthesized were observed whe...
